Fantastic Royal Visit To Bletchley Park

A very successful event. The Queen visited Colossus, received a bow from George (Tony Sale’s 1960’s robot) and unveiled a new sculture commemorating the work of Bletchley Park and its outstations. The sun shone and the local schools in attendance were thrilled. Also very touching to see so many veterans in attendance. The Queen spent a lot of time talking with them.

My personal highlight was meeting Captain Jerry Roberts, the last surviving member of the Testery, a Bletchley Park codebreaking operation that led the fight to break the Lorenz (aka ‘Tunny’). He’s a true genius and his work goes alongside Colossus as essential to the reading of messages sent between Hitler and his generals.
