Our new Tunny room is open

Yesterday saw the opening of the newly refurbished ‘Tunny’ room at the National Museum of Computing in Bletchley Park. The BBC have been kind enough to cover the launch.

Tunny? It’s a machine that operates in the same way as a Lorenz cypher machine used by Hitler and his most trusted aides used to coverse secretly. Decryption of the messages was thought impossible, but they didn’t bank on Bletchley Park and Colossus, the World’s first computer. Want to know more?
